Hey, In class today we did our Black History Month Bell Ringer. We learned about Colin Power and his influence on the U.S. We then were introduced to our last assignment for The Sorrow of War. Out book review is due next Tuesday.

Hey, Today in class we read the poem "Incident" by Countee Cullen. The main take away was that words have power. A single worfs can have a very long lasting impact on someone. The impact of the child that called the eigh year old that name is something that was tramatic. Going over what words can be hurtful to differnet people in different cultures i think was a good discussion. Some words may be more hurtful to others and its important to take others into considerstion.
