Hey, In class today we finished Act One of the play Fences. We learned more a out to relationship between the characters and the time period this novel is based on. We wrote a journal entry on the typical day these men have.

Hey, Today in class we read the poem "Incident" by Countee Cullen. The main take away was that words have power. A single worfs can have a very long lasting impact on someone. The impact of the child that called the eigh year old that name is something that was tramatic. Going over what words can be hurtful to differnet people in different cultures i think was a good discussion. Some words may be more hurtful to others and its important to take others into considerstion.
