 Hey, 

  Today in class we read the poem “Refugee in America”. The message was that your rights are important when concerning citizenship. Freedom of Religion is important too me because being christian is how I define myself and how I go about my life.

Hey, Today in class we read the poem "Incident" by Countee Cullen. The main take away was that words have power. A single worfs can have a very long lasting impact on someone. The impact of the child that called the eigh year old that name is something that was tramatic. Going over what words can be hurtful to differnet people in different cultures i think was a good discussion. Some words may be more hurtful to others and its important to take others into considerstion.
